Looking back on SoCks of Yesteryear
Ever notice that life seems to pass by faster than you expect, and when you stop to look at it, more of it has passed than you might have thought? No? Well, kid, give it time. ;-)

Mental Meanderings On Emotion: Love
Love is a curious thing.
I know of nothing so complex
I know of nothing so complex
and yet that happens so naturally -
sometimes so quickly we had no idea it was coming -
and yet has such an impact on the lives of humankind.

The Sock We Wish We Could Unravel
Most of us have things in life we wish we could take back, or have never have done.
Some of us have more than one thing.
Some things are considered bigger than others.
But most of us, whether we realize it or not, have at least one thing we regret.

To My Young Friends . . . A SoCk Your Own Size
Thinking about some friends today who may not realize they are ever thought about at all . . . not just by me, but in general. Sometimes in the hustle of life, it's good to take a moment to pause and remind people around us that we care. So, today, I want to focus on you, my young friends.

The Little Socks vs The Big Socks
Do you remember when you were little? Those Big People who taught you The Rules, knew all The Answers and took care of all The Problems?
Do you realize, you are now one of those Big People?

My Socks Got Knocked Off!
So today is a rather significant day for me. Besides the anniversary of the day my mother's body was finally relieved of a rather overdue burden, it also signifies I've been breathing longer than I ever thought I would. Last year was significant, too, but this year feels totally different than any year has, I've ever yet experienced.

When Life Gives Your Sock a Run . . .
"An idiot . . .
A fool . . .
A fumbler . . .
A drool . . .
Ever naïve . . .
Never cool . . .
Just one wish . . .
To break the rule."

Time Traveling with the School of Hard Knocks
I talk to a lot of people, a lot, about a lot of stuff. I've even talked to some people about the fact "a lot" is a concept, but "alot" isn't a word. I smirked just now at my phone's word processor helping reiterate that by forcing me to go back and take the space out, but a lesson in grammar wasn't my intention here, so let's move on.
