Looking back on SoCks of Yesteryear
Ever notice that life seems to pass by faster than you expect, and when you stop to look at it, more of it has passed than you might have thought? No? Well, kid, give it time. ;-)

The Rejuvenation of The SoCk Drawer
Sometimes, I have to give some credit to those who inspire me. Fortunately, those who do so usually know who they are, either because I've told them directly or because they know when/how I got their inspirations. Not always, but much of the time. That way, I don't have to give them public accolades, because I like to keep privacy when possible and therefore don't list names. Plus, it gives an air of mystery and at least a few will be wondering, "Did I do that?" And they can ask me, since most likely, they had a part in it. And I'm not sure if this paragraph said anything of value, but I've typed it all out now, and I really hate having done that and then just deleting it, so maybe I'll just keep it here and you can decide if this post is really gonna be worth reading. If you do decide to read on, then I hope you enjoy and don't end up regretting the time it took to read it. Where was I? Oh yes . . .
Thank you, my inspiring friends and whanau, who help give my life reason and purpose. ♥

A Sock With, Perhaps, A Custom Fit
My Dear, Young Friend;
Having experienced being a dear, young friend myself, my Empath's Heart truly feels for you. I witness your struggles, and connect them with memories of my own. I know it is scary to be out on your own, old enough to forge your way out into the world, but still too young to have any idea what you're doing. It's a crazy time of life, when it feels as though the world is holding it's breath while watching you, waiting to see what choices you make - and what mistakes.

The Sock We Wish We Could Unravel
Most of us have things in life we wish we could take back, or have never have done.
Some of us have more than one thing.
Some things are considered bigger than others.
But most of us, whether we realize it or not, have at least one thing we regret.

Viva La Substance and La Fluff!
"You know . . . it's just life. And sometimes it doesn't matter, and sometimes it does. Sometimes we need to cry, and sometimes tears are exactly what we need to have to heal. But it's all fragile, so try to be gentle, loving and sincerely care. I still believe love sent into the Universe is never wasted, regardless of its reception."

The Little Socks vs The Big Socks
Do you remember when you were little? So little, that the Big People - parents, teachers, other grown-ups - towered over you, so much so that you had to crane your neck back to see the top of them, should they stand next to you? Those Big People who taught you The Rules, knew all The Answers and took care of all The Problems?
Do you realize, you are now one of those Big People?

From Top to Toe . . . and Beyond . . .
I hear a lot of people say, "I hate endings!"
I'm not typically one of them.

The Broken and The Beautiful
"When the Japanese mend broken objects they aggrandize the damage by filling the cracks with gold, because they believe that when something's suffered damage and has a history it becomes more beautiful."
